Startline Motor Finance has appointed a head of business intelligence, overseeing a range of information relating to lending performance.
Kevin Mooney brings to the role 15 years of experience in financial data analysis. He was at British Airways during the initial phase of his careers, and subsequently moved into the wealth management industry, with roles at Standard Life, BNP Paribas Fortis and Barclays.
His appointment came on the back of Startline’s investment into digital strategy, which saw it upgrade its automatic application processing software and introduce electronic signature. The lender also recently appointed a head of IT.
Mooney said: “A business like Startline generates and collects a lot of data and it is my job to work out how that information can be applied to bring about improvements in all kinds of areas, from front-line customer satisfaction to how we position ourselves in the market.
“The company has developed a very interesting proposition and I’m excited to be arriving at a point where data analysis can have such an important impact on it strategic direction.”
Startline chief executive Paul Burgess said in April: “These two recruitments will allow Startline to realise its ambition of enhancing its position as the most forward thinking and technologically advanced lender in its space.
“As a business, we continue to grow on a month-by-month basis and are continually revising our IT strategy to take account of this expansion.”
